Promoting cycling as an attractive commute for working professionals
Pedaluxe is a digital concept transforming urban commuting by replacing car use with cycling. By offering stylish electric lease bikes for businesses, it promotes cycling as a sustainable and practical alternative to traditional transportation, aligning with modern mobility trends and environmental goals.
Problem
Germany’s federal government aims to double the number of cyclists by 2030, but Düsseldorf’s cycling community remains underdeveloped despite existing initiatives.
Solution
A platform for companies to order personalized e-bikes and an employee app to manage them, making cycling a practical alternative to leased cars.
Luxury through design
To make cycling feel desirable and premium, I used a dark color palette with purple accents and slim, elegant typography. These choices communicate exclusivity while guiding the user’s attention to key actions. Every visual element supports usability, ensuring clarity without sacrificing the premium feel.
Tailored experiences for two audiences
The platform separates the experience for employers and employees. Employers can customize and order bikes for their teams, giving them a sense of ownership and engagement. Employees access an app that highlights key stats from their bike including money and time saved, making the benefits tangible and motivating.
Interactive engagement
Interactive elements were designed to keep users engaged while exploring their options. Whether customizing a bike or tracking personal savings, these interactions make the experience memorable and encourage continued use of the platform.
